That luxury extends outdoors, with a large deck and private dock hanging over the scenic Nehalem River, a breathtaking passageway for ducks, herons, eagles, and other wildlife. Since you’re also right on the highway, in five minutes you can be on the beach in nearby Manzanita, giving you fresh and saltwater options for your adventures. Open space, wood floors, warm fir cabinetry, and a large cozy sectional sofa in the great room will invite you to relax together; a beautifully equipped, open kitchen and dining space make it easy to dine in style, inside or out on the deck. The main bedroom has a queen bed with beautiful river views and a private access to the large deck. The other two queen bedrooms share a common entrance in the "bunk house" wing of the home, which has one bed in a private room and two queen-over-queen bunks.
Your private dock can be a launchpad for the home’s tandem kayak (life jackets provided) for a paddle up the Nehalem; this storied river is also a great place for fishing from your own boat, which you can launch and dock at the home. While away an afternoon in the town’s shops and restaurants, check out the spa, wine bar, and shops in Manzanita, or hike Neahkahnie Mountain for stupendous views of the coastline. You’ll be poised to explore the whole North Coast from this convenient location. At the end of the day, you’ll be glad to relax on the deck and watch the evening light settle on the river gliding by.
